See, being in an ANOB, Green Belt etc I was thing of building a 40' shed and making it look like a shipping container...

I took a look at Tiger sheds after seeing the positive comments on here. There seems to be a lot of disappointed customers leaving reviews on Google. Mainly about broken/ missing parts and gaps and holes in the cladding.
Are the people on here lucky or are the people on Google too fussy?

On my sample of one shed - its' been fine. Admittedly delivered with windows when I specified none, but they swapped it the day after. And it was 15 yrs ago.

Probably both. More people will leave bad reviews than good reviews.

Once again, I hope many of you are not self-employed - pretty early on in the shed specification process there was an important point mentioned - does not want to build one himself.

And what keeps getting mentioned . . .

My thinking was that the £2k was enough budget to buy the materials and also get someone to build it for him too?

I'm a finicky old bu66er so once someone building it for me hears "not like that" for the 3rd time they will probably down tools and walk off the job

I got mine second hand off market place, 10x7. The guy who sold it to me built it himself, because he looked at new sheds and they were expensive and he said unprintable things about the quality. He was an engineer working in F1. Anyway, he reckoned he spent £1200 on materials, all screwed together too, not nailed. Was already in sections when I saw it. Took me a day to assemble it with a bit of help holding things while I drove screws. He sold it because he moved house and there was nowhere to put it. I paid £600. I sat it on tiles from tops tiles bin and it was already plastered in underseal. I gave it another coat too just because.
