Unlikely to get a better deal if availableSWMBO got us a couple of Dell Latitude 7450s from the IT dept at work when they upgraded. They were selling them for £80. Windows 11 installed and everything wiped and checked.
Can ask if they have any more ?
Absolutely not - I went from a Lenovo X230 to a brand new Dell XPS 13 - worse thing I ever did - I am still trying to feel comfortable with a "butterfly keyboard" - it just doesn't suit me.Dell XPS
Im not over fussed. I've spent alot of money and 30 years perfecting my hifi. The best laptop sound in the world is still going to be a bag of crap to my earslappys going back 20 yrs had a speaker socket, later had bluetooth, easy enough to boost those vibes
Wouldn't hurt to ask, thanksSWMBO got us a couple of Dell Latitude 7450s from the IT dept at work when they upgraded. They were selling them for £80. Windows 11 installed and everything wiped and checked.

That will do you just fine - well done !Took a bit of a gamble, sacked off reconditioned, and bought a cheap used one.
Lenovo thinkpad l440. So 14" 4th gen i5 I believe. 12gb ram, 500gb ssd, Windows 10 pro (I don't want windows 11 as I want to get an old disc copy of Adobe CS and 11 may not run it. Don't fancy paying £300 a year for illustrator!). Has optical drive too which most thinkpads don't.
Only sellers word that it works ok, but for £75, it ticks all the boxes.
We shall see.
If not, I'll use it as a cutting mat.
Thanks. I hope so. Cherry on top will be if it turns out to have backlit keys. The other decent bet was was a p50s. Same sort of sles, but newer and £200. No optical drive though and although plug in ones are cheap, I would prefer it all built in.That will do you just fine - well done !
