it works ok for my needs, many on here have made modifications to suit their own requirements.

About 18 months ago, I bought a Switzer Sand Blasting Cabinet SBC90 for £90 off ebay and I'm really happy with that. The same unit sells under other brand names. But as per post #3, be prepared to do a few mods (lots on YouTube) to get the best out of them. I'd never had one before and I've gone up quite a learning curve with it and still learning. Do think about where you will put it and what extraction you will use. First mod I made was to remove the daft little filter on the air outlet, which now exhausts to a 4" flexible duct with a fan extractor,

Worked very well and cannot fault it at all, noticed that is has doubled in price since I bought it nearly 18 months ago

the small cabinets arent much use and limited in size using a suction gun .also no extraction on them

Well, no, not for a chassis or tank turret they're not. But for most suspension parts they're ideal. And that is what the OP is looking for
Mine has extraction. Yes it's an accessory, but it was designed to have it.

i do have one and only use it for beadblasting .i also have a larger one that will take car wheels either using a guyson suction gun or from a pressurized pot . it has a 4 ich woodchip extraca on it

Bought my generic one for £35 ….it won’t wok he said…a nice clean out and away we go….
mines not modded as it does well enough…it’s about 800 mm inside length….
only prob is the medium gets damp…..the base of mine is now covered and has a saver fluorescent bulb bulb running 24/7 when in regular use….
as for medium I have two sorts….kiln dried sand from the builders merchant…..
and worn out sand for the softer jobs…..
big jobs I have a big pot driven by a road compress….
lastley don’t expect it to work well on a Lidal type compressor…even a two cylinder Clarke special will struggle…
Also given up on changing the Perspex…now just guess n lift the lid occ….
never found anything to protect the perspex

The Switzer one that I have looks identical to the SGS one. The main mods I've done are just to throw away the filter and have a proper extract and replace the light. As supplied, the lamp throws a lot of light in your face; I took it out and put a length of "that tape which has a LED's on it" (?) under the lid so that 100% of the light is going on the workpiece. The power unit which supplies the original lamp on mine was 12VDC, and runs the LED's.
The last significant thing I did on my system was to add some vertical 15mm copper pipe in the air-line, with valves on the bottom to help take out water vapour (as described previously on this forum). I found that the media I had was getting damp (and slightly wiffy
) and the gun clogging up. That problems seems to have gone way now.
Can you really get any blasting cabinet for £35; certainly not this side of Covid?

I have been eyeing up the same , what size / type of aggregate do you use , as even if I look at glass media , there are different size options .

I use medium aluminium oxide with my wee blasting pot, work a treat and can be reused.

I bought one very similar 4 years ago, and it is one of the best £80 I ever spent for small stuff, and has seen 2 full car restorations of use.
I bulk bought a ton of glass grit 0.5mm. (I use this for my pot blaster as well).
Extraction is an old dyson vac, running via a fireplace type ash can to catch most of the dust, this works very very well.
For lighting I just place a 20w led floodlight externally on top of the screen.
Very much a diy bit of kit, but for occasional use its excellent.
