where to buy gas

i'm new to welding and just bought a clarke 90 pro from ebay but need gas
can anyone let me know where to get the gas bottles from in the herts area

Have a look at the gas suppliers sticky in this section, see if there's anything near you.

whats the best gas for doing car body repairs ie sill and panels etc

Argon/co2 mix is by far the best but plain CO2 works and is very cheap. Plain CO2 is also quite spattery.

update.. i manged to find a couple of local motor factors who sell the disposable bottles

Not just saying this, but disposables are not so good!!

You will be lucky to get 10 minutes out of the disposables so at around a tenner each it can and expensive and frustrating exercise imo.
