That's really good!Scrap oil. But yes, its thirsty. Can do 30 litres in a long day.
I use one of the cheap 5kw Chinese diesel heaters.
Full chat seems to get about 25-30 degrees above ambient in my garage size completely uninsulated workshop (with plenty of holes to the outside world).
When running flat out it uses about 0.4-0.5L an hour. I used to use kero but have switch back to diesel as mine seems to produce noticeably hotter air when running diesel.

These are 4kw not 5kw!
Exceptional value for money though.
I just wish they did a more powerful one.
Eberspacher make a genuine 8kw model - a snip at only £4000 plus vat
Theres a fair few videos on YT and the Facebook group is pretty informative. I believe with the correct setting (which can be edited in the engineers menu) they get pretty close to 5kw.
A lot of people recommend detuning them to 4kw as they get less coked up that way.
Ahh ok will have to look.
I think the main reason they coke up is when not run hard enough. Ours is on full blast and Kero is cleaner than diesel.
Diesel will give a bit more heat though I suppose.
They need to be run up to max for at least 5mins before turning down to the setting you want.
That isn't bad at all.
Do you know make and model?
I assume it will burn kero? If so £10 a day not bad.
Its a thermobile machine. SB60 i think
It defo burns heating oil if needed. Just knock back the injection pressure. Sure you could do the same for kero.
Technically yes............................Thanks for that trouble is with waste oil burners you need all sorts of permits etc I think?
Just looked - that burns 6L an hour - which on Kero would be £1.80 and hour. Not bad but I wonder if it would do anything in my draughty old warehouse?
And at £7000 I think I will freeze
Unless I find one on Ebay of course.
I have 3000L of waste oil just waiting to be used.

I have 6000 sqft and an 8m high roof but even if it takes the chill off it would help.It will heat it. Before it was here, it was in our old workshop. 3000 sqft with 6m high roof. Kept that warm. The output is like standing in a warm hurricane!
+Or one of those ridiculously expensive Peleton machines, where you're made to suffer after lashing out loads of shekels for the privilege.
