I have had a day trying....and failing....to get the rear squirt to function when actually ON the Octavia.
While I was soaking the 16 year seized lock I managed some turning and have an acceptable ball turner for the LT gearshift bushes.

Tomorrow is a whole other day.

I hate planning.

Sounds of the Sixties on Radio2 until 10am, who gives a monkeys before that.

Pipe on NSR, stick yer hand up inside the left hand boot holder - that comes apart at the joint. Check the valve stem under the plastic cover on the wiper arm, it does get blocked but can be pulled out and cleaned with a needle and compressed air.

Royal armouries in Leeds with missus and kids on Saturday. Haven't been for eight or so years so looking forward to it.
Playing with my David Brown tractor on Sunday see if I can suss why it's still smoking so bad after an expensive engine and fuel system rebuild. Really want it working soon as I'm falling over logs needing splitting.

I'm on a plane on Friday to the U.S. for a couple of weeks, for work.

So definitely a family weekend, not a welding weekend. Boy wants to show off the results of his swimming lessons so we're going to Burntisland (which is neither burnt or an island ) swimming pool tomorrow!

Oh - that's a good idea! Not that I have any windows in the garage but, if I did, double glazing would be a great plan!

Only got the glass for most of them so I'm having to route a suitable profile in a fair few metres of timber and construct frames first. Pain to do but the glass was free. Couple of the units have bad internal fogging so I'm refurbishing them before fitting.

I need to bring back jeans and t-shirts for me and my boy. Many bargainness at Target!

I work for a software company so half the trip is going to prospective customers and telling them how great it's going to be, and the other half is going to existing customers and explaining why it didn't turn out so great

Portland, Oregon then Cincinnati, Missouri, Ohio, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Maryland and DC all in nine days. Oh and Milan cos I'm flying in and out via Italy (cheaper that way).

I'm definitely not complaining, by the way - it will be hard work but the biggest benefit of my job is getting to places I'd never have seen otherwise. Last year I was in Bangalore, Brazil (many cities), Australia (ditto) and Norwich

So it's tough being away from the family but I do view it as a perk to go to different places. I'll post pics while I'm over there

On this trip, very little downtime but I have some longish stretches in Milan and Portland.

Don't envy you, I am a ref although I haven't ref'd a game for a while as all my spare time is spent building my barn.
One U14's match a dad charged onto the pitch and threatened to break a players legs after his son was fouled (it wasn't a dangerous or reckless challenge, just over zealous!).
After I bo**ocked the dad and told him to leave the pitch he refused and started fronting up to me, luckily one of the other parents spectating happened to be a policeman and it was only after he showed him his warrant card and threatened to arrest him did he leave the pitch.
Turns out it's not the first time the dad had lost the plot, he was almost frothing at the mouth he was so wound up!
It's a real shame as the dad actions meant his son was asked to leave the football club through no fault of his own.
It's not the first time a parent has lost it on the sidelines, if I had my way parents would be banned from spectating.
