What to do with excess masonary bits?

I have often heard (though not actually tried) that these bits are good for cutting neat holes in Perspex and similar, lubed with water.

I seem to have loads of these things, used, new, long, short, plain shank, SDS shank, and I don't need them.

Suggestions as to what to do with them before they weighed in. I'll post them if anyone wants them.

really good idea i might have to try that i normally get angry with the lump hammer

MIS, local charity shop who sell tools* or Ebay 99p start (list the SDS and normal ones as separate lots).
* I put some hand tools into a local charity shop - guy behind the counter gavce them to his mate while I was still in the shop - "to take them home and make sure they worked" !

Non-sds masonary bits sometimes wear out quickly for me, I have 2 decent SDS sets and they still look like new despite years of work. Odd as both were Makita sets ?

you can touch bigish carbide circular saw blades up with them by hand as well if there slightly blunt. ive done a few on general purpose blades

A Indian water slip stone does it very well. But as you say only if slightly.

With a tool charity we wer sent from a well know power tool company, with an office in Slough. Some new tips, that could be brazed on.
After you removed the old.

We had nowt to loose, apart from time and some gas.

Tips off, easy. hand on a bar heat the lower ones and let them drop into water.
Not a good idea, blade warps.

Lay them flat, warm and then work round edge and remove the tips .
Better, but blades then dishes.

If we got them off, with out the blade going wonky.

Getting the tips on with out distortion was very very hard. Getting them lined up ready to be dressed nearly impossible.

Worth the time learning, waste of time doing.

There is a clip on the show "How do they do that" on doing that.
Now I know.
