What sort of mill budget do you have....
Once you settle on a few models that might suit your requirements, you'll soon get the hang of what people pay for them. Then out of the blue, something will pop up that ticks all the boxes at a decent price.
If you're not in a hurry, the longer you're looking, the better the result will be.
I have generally found all the best tools and auctions have been up North....
I got my Bridgeport from Scotchland!
Full time farm work has disadvantages!
Have you ever tried finding anything in Scarborough though
This place seems as dead as anything can be when it comes to buying decent things. Too small and stuck out from the big places, everything can be a challenge.
..
Teeside is only just up the road, you are not that far from civilization. Just accept that where ever a mill of choice is its going to be a full day.
Or buy from a dealer and just get it delivered on a pallet, if you can unload at your end.
Rubbish, civilization doe not exist north of Watford.
Bob
But also advantages, acess to heavy duty trailers and things like tele handlers make a huge difference moving mills once you get them home.
