Not a machine I have heard of though looks a nice spec: and not to far from me, anyone familiar with them?

Oi, I was watching that too! It's a Deckel clone, same as my TOS but the Thiel looks more refined going by the pics. That one looks on the face of it to be a good example and I bet it's got a way to go on the price yet.
Looks a bit bigger than I am looking for, though not seen the spec of one.I see a mill on facebook near(ish) to me:

Edgwick Horizont & Vertical Mill (240v)
I've an Edgwick horizontal mill available that has a vertical head with it as well. Bought on a whim as I'd enjoyed using the ones at the engineering club but since I've had it all over done is cut...www.facebook.com
I know bugger all about mills though!
Have a look in that link I think the Eng manual has dims.Looks a bit bigger than I am looking for, though not seen the spec of one.
That comment was on the Edgwick mill.Have a look in that link I think the Eng manual has dims.
Been looking through the manual (in German) and see though the footprint is small the space require behind the machine for the top arm is quite significant:I'd love it but haven't got the space.
Cheaper than a holiday in Cyprus, go and have a look
Some more info here.

I have a Harrison universal, the quality is very good. It's a lovely bit of engineering wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. That's a lovely looking Centec!
I had a Harrison Horiz/Vert for about 30 years. Nice and sturdy. Table 30x8 inches and quite a small footprint.
30 International taper in both spindles.
My only gripe was the amount of daylight between the vertical head and the table, but I think most of the smaller machines have this problem.

Good luck with the search!

Seeing how much Centecs sell for you could have the Thiel and change!Been looking through the manual (in German) and see though the footprint is small the space require behind the machine for the top arm is quite significant:

I suppose mounting it on wheels would be an option.
@Pete. is your Deckel clone the same? I should stop looking at your thread, it is just convincing me how much I want one of these machines!
