Another update, today we are making a door skin...

I folded the swage line on the box & pan folder, then started to fold the edges, nothing fancy.. a pair of pliers

Enthusiasm on the MG has been a bit lacking for a little while, mainly due sorting out a new set of anvils for my Wheel.
I'm not a machinist, neither do I feel the urge to become one either, so I ordered them, I asked the guy what tolerances he works to, answer 0.001, so I place the order for custom made radii, no flats, top wheel to, made from EN9 hardened

(You can skip the next paragraph if engineering bores you, along with my woes and go straight to panel making pictures)

They took a while to be made, hence why I ain't posted anything, movin on, when I got the new set I was keen to check how true they were, oh dear, the top wheel bounced 0.020. so much for 0.001, so sent it back, I was initially happy with the lower anvils, that was until I checked the radii I specified against what was actually delivered, 3 of the 8 anvils were wrong, I'm not a pedantic customer, I was ok with 2 wrong ones, but needed 1 to be made again, eventually the resurfaced top wheel arrived back along with the new lower anvil, however the second attempt to true top wheel failed, now its only 0.008 out and the new lower anvil gets damaged in transit, I sent the top wheel somewhere else to get ground, sorted

Right, wake up, enough prattling on, down to business....
Today I will be making an aluminium wing, never done it before and still learning tig weldin ali....

I'd love to go, but running my own small business, time off to go on a jolly, wouldn't go down well with the family, but one day I will, it seems like a great event.
I am surprised there aren't more of us on here, hopefully the hobby restorers on here will see that making things is within their capabilties if they want to learn.
