The big boys in the game are Babcock, Balfour and Arqiva. It's very interesting work so might be worth a few phone calls etc. there is a bit of a slow down in wireless services as the digital switch over is finished and very little mobile expansion but overhead lines work is big at the moment due to grid works

If your a decent climber go down the rope access path get your irata and get on a couple of agency's. tall towers are good but the climbing is just a long ladder!

Been watching them dismantle and rebuild a line of pylons over the last few weeks on my way home.

Me I have been a BMW tech for about 5 yrs before that i worked on renaults for 20yrs and 10yrs of that a Renault master tech

So is it possible to change the cambelt on an '03 Megane 1.5TD without taking the engine out? I gave up in disgust once I'd got the belt covers off and couldn't get a feeler gauge between the end of the engine and the inner wing

My first Renault was an '86 25GTX (the 2.2 engine) - fantastic car but the rear suspension was a bit soft. Had to resolder the instrument cluster to get the fuel computer and speedo to work, retro-fitted the cruise control system from a V6 into it and had a good few years in the early 90s hoofing around the roads of the UK and France in it. One CV failure, tail exhaust section and an intermittent starting fault that was traced to a corroded multiplug at the front of the engine bay was all that ever went wrong with it.
And it looked better than the Safrane that replaced it...

Had a R21 later, not the Turbo sadly, just a run-of-the-mill 1.7 that the wife used for work. Still towed a trailer tent to France... eventually

The only renaults that required engine removal for cam belts were v6 clios,v6 e spaces though you could just do it along with Clio 16v saying that 5 turbos you could do a clutch without removing the engine but it was like decorating your hallway via the letterbox..
25's were great usually the centre exhaust box that went across the centre of the car Rotted
You should have had a go in a 21 turbo quadra the 4x4 one went like stink but no torque steer
One of the best cars they made in the late 80's was the gta rear engine fibreglass body the d501 was the v6 turbo one it had a twin chocke carb and a single choke on the same inlet manifold

I worked at a Renault dealer in the 80s, book time for a clutch on a renault 5 was 14hrs if my Memory serves me well. The job could be done in 3, but the customer was still charged 14. Lots of parts fitted different models yet the pricing was different.

Pile 'o s****e. 5turbos went well though, for a very thin reused bean tin

my neighbour had a 5 turbo i always called it the lego car as it was red with grey bumpers, the head gasket went in it and he fitted a volvo 1.7turbo into it. 2 years later even after upping the boost it never missed a beat, until he smashed it into a tree

I had a chat with a Greek guy who rallyed a Turbo 2 (the rear engined R5) asked him what sort of power he ran. " Oh, about 280 most of the time, up to 320 for the special stages" And this is with what is the basic 1400cc motor that was in all the production cars.
Bit of a Renault fan myself. Had around 18 of them, at least a dozen R4s and now an Espace diesel and a Twingo. A few 5s and a 12 in there. Very good for where I was driving,

Yep out to sea , most of that is rock , milled to within 50 to a 100 mill , the mill even has kennametal inserts lol

do the decent thing at least ring the other one
ask if you can have another day or time even if you don't like the sound of it
you dont want to be told another one who doesent even turn up you see the point people talk to each other

Haha, well I don't know about skilled. More often it seems to come down to determination.
Are you in similar line yourself? - I havn't read the entire thread.
