I can't say I have any real regrets. From the choices I have made I have a loving wife, beautiful son (I've got the day off today to take him swimming then this afternoon were off to feed the ducks at Fairburn Ings) and a workshop full of toys.

My dad for a while considered joining the police for the opportunity to work in Bermuda. Nothing came of that, either.

I did have quite decent hearing, but like you having been in live music scene for many years its starting to go a little, also work in factories and sites hasn't helped. Ive started doubling up on ear protection when on site and I feel its needed. Thinking about it, almost everything I do involves loud noise, Shooting, Work, Music, Motorsport...

Can't say I regret anything, although I can see decisions I made that may or may not have been the right one/ right thing (or woman ) to do.
Cars... sold my '69 Spit Mk 3 for £50 to a guy who only wanted it for the engine and overdrive as spares for his Bond Equipe. I thought £50 was fair
Sold my Esprit S3 for about what I'd paid (but not what I then spent)... five years later it was up for 4 times as much
Didn't buy a Mk 2 Cortina 1600GT... or a Jensen-Healey... or an Alfa 33 Sportwagon. So not all bad then
Jobs... resigned from a bank cashier job in 1982, just in time to join the 3 million unemployed under Maggie. Arguably I'd have been out anyway 18 months later when computers came in big time and banks were losing staff hand over fist, but I left because i didn't like 13 women telling me what to do.
Went to see about joining the RAF but didn't like the recruiting sergeant's attitude
Walked into town one day to pay the electricity bill; came out the door and wavered between turning right and going for a pie (and an ogle of the girl behind the butcher's counter) or turning left and going to the Jobcentre to waste my time looking, yet again, at the same poor offerings. Gave the pie a miss, saw a freshly-listed job, applied for it, will have been with the company 23 years in November
Women... ah, well Suffice to say two of my ex's were found guilty of embezzlement... and not just of my bloody money, either. I got more horizontal salsa action as a single parent in my late 20s than any time before or since; maybe they took pity on a bloke with a young daughter - only one of them was married, and one of them's now dead!
