I'm new to the forum and TIG welding in general.
I've completed my level 1 in TIG welding mild steel and thought I would try aluminium today for the first time.
The question I have is fairly simple, what is causing the dimples in the picture?
If someone could give me some pointers, that would be great.
For info, I'm using an R-Tech AC/DC 200 amp welder being used in AC at approximately 80 amps on 16swg, no pulse being used, 45% cleaning, 50hz and 10 l/min argon.
The filler rod is R-Tech supplied 4043A 2.4mm and the electrode is a Futuris 1.6 mm 2% lanthanated light blue, which I've been using on both ac and dc.
Look forward to some responses!
