Hi folks, I will need to buy an invertor my new mill as it is 3 phase.
The motor is:
There is also a small 3 phase suds pump, guess a smaller invertor for it.
I have never fitted an invertor before, my lathe was all rewired when I bought it.
A few questions:
1. Is the motor suitable to be driven by an invertor?
2. Do I need to make any changes to the motor?
3. For a 370W motor I guess I want an invertor of 500w or more?
4. Any recommendations on what invertor to buy?
5. Similarly for 4, where best to buy?
My son is an electrical engineer, was going to get him to look at it, though he lives in Dunfermline, so opposite side of Scotland to me and tends to visit 2 or 3 times a year.
My wife's uncle is an electrical engineer too, so will have a professional wire it for me.
Any advice appreciated,
Thanks
