Im not sure if this counts as a fix or a broke entry.
I am replacing my house consumer unit today with a metal unit. The metal ones are latest edition and non flammable. But obviously mounting them on a timber board kind of defeats that purpose IMO.

I found a large gap behind the original timber board when cut back. So I rendered it in and need to wait a few more hours before I can start the new board. Itll be packed off the wall for a week or so to allow this to fully dry out.
So no lecky today. Aw well.
