what about one were you don't have to keep your finger on the trigger(maybe Carol Vorderman could do it !)

Really handy until you turn it off again. I always forget I've done it and spend the next five minutes doing tack welds.
We haven't looked into ceramic shrouds yet. What exactly are you looking for in the gas jets/ lenses? We don't offer a stainless liner, but we do offer a patented liner that loads from the front to dramatically reduce downtime. You just remove the shroud / diffuser and tip, pull the liner out and feed a new one in, cut to length and put your shroud / diffuser and tip back on.
Keep the suggestions rolling in guys..

Only seen it on a Migatronic, you could adjust a dial on the torch with your thumb as you welded. Alternativly, some units have a small control panel which detaches from the feeder for adjusting.
Ok seeing as anyone can make a suggestion and no matter how mad...
How about a torch that had a motor that would wag the torch. Doesnt have to be that much, side to side maybe an inch. Maybe a programmable one where the torch could be moved in an half circle motion - back and forward. Then you just have to worry about positioning the torch and moving back at a decent speed. A wagging torch would be great in tight spots.
Well it did say any suggestion no matter how mad... I was mainly thinking of its use in really tight spaces like I have done even with my limited welding experience. Wanted to stitch along a seam but couldnt because of the tight gap.
Oh well in that case how about one that wiggled side to side and moves forward on it's own. Then you wouldn't need to do anything at all....![]()
What would be nice is a remote (alternatively separate?) to trim the wire speed, until it's optimum, whilst welding. Having to stop & re-adjust the feed speed is a nuisance sometimes, and leaves me wondering if it is spot on.
Carol Vorderville could still help ...I suppose!![]()

Something simerla to this already exists mate..........
I'd still prefer the foot pedal! Does Lorch or Fronius make one of those?
Yeah, we, they do.
But it would be of no use to normal, Transformer switch migs, you ideally need to adjust the Voltage aswell and the only way you can do that is by going back to the power-source (Unless you have got a M3030 Automotive or C-Dialog from us) but even then, Transformers shouldn't be changed whilst under load.
Blimey, I never knew it was so complicated! The more I learn about electricity; the less I understand.I thought it was "a normal pot" (on my mig) just controlled the wire feed motor.
