Yeah, it's not as complex as removing table from a van, ffs.we are up to 59 posts after only 2 dayswould only take half an hour to dig an exploratory hole as to whats needed

Yup....hitting rocks with anything by hand is going to hurt your hands imho.Attacking this with a mattock gave the odd spark and not a lot of movement at all.
I'm pretty damn sure you'd get a micro digger in there. Worst case is just scrape it all back towards the doorway as you go, yeah it'll be a bit tight operating it but a damn sight easier than by hand...

The only issue I see is in loading stuff into a micro dumper but you shouldn't have an issue loosening stuff off and pulling it back. That's what I was wondering - if you couldn't utilize the depth gained as you went along.
I just don't know how the arms work and if it's possible to dig the depth as you work like that.
On the machine I linked above the main boom doesn't look like it'll lift high enough to hit anything so then all you'd need is a bit of half-pipe cut and cable tied or something to the cylinder rod to restrict how far the dipper ram can retract to prevent the bucket going up too high.Is it possible to put a restrictor on the ram of a machine so that it is prevented from accidently booming up through the ceiling?
A question for the panel:
Is it possible to put a restrictor on the ram of a machine so that it is prevented from accidently booming up through the ceiling?
I am fairly sure rail excavators have this facility for working under overhead wires, but is there a simple solution for everyday machines?
