I’ve been doing a bit of aluminium work too recently, just finished. More or a display of what can be done with a manual mill and some basic calcs in cad. These are some adjustable lapping / polishing tools for a big job later this year (I’ll post pics of that when it happens) but basically they’re to polish a valve seat once machined. One has been finished with a flap wheel the others been left. Probably won’t bother flapping the other, see how it performs.
Are they classed as a compound curve? Anyway they’re curved in two planes to accommodate the shape of the valve seat.
