Over penetration is a big no no in pipe fabs and in other places would indicate the welder is perhaps unaware of what he is doing. I certainly wouldn't give credibility to a guy that was welding trailers, some of the worst welding seen is in the automotive industry.Take a good look at some of the pressed steel/fabricated wishbones
