S s410man trainee dogsbody Messages 1,337 Mar 6, 2012 #5 can be mig welded but much better with a arc and you dont have to buy a roll of wire which you may not use most places sell individual rods which should be £1-2 each there are 2 types though-one which can be used with no preheating which i was told was better remember to lightly tap it with a hammer continually after welding until cold to relieve stresses(peening)
