I need to do some repairs on a Morso Squirrel cast iron wood burner i've had for a few years and i wonder if you could give me some advice.
Can you weld a bit of mild steel onto cast iron? The collar for the flue pipe has two cast holes which are used for bolting the collar to the burner top. one of the holes has broken away and i don't have it to try and weld back on, so could i just use a thick section of mild steel and make a new bit and weld it on.
