Never worn any jewellery, never felt the need. People can tell I'm married without a ring.
I stopped wearing a watch in the 70's when an expensive (to me) digital watch was stuffed by a large transmitter.
Mate at the loco works when I was an apprentice connected his ring to the live torch and he whipped his mask up to see the damage, the weld flash welded one of his contact lens to his cornea ..
Na.. not for me.

when u nearly get yout finger ripped off with one u wouldn't wear one again plus u can go galavanting with other women and they think your not married because they look at your fingers to see if theres any marks off one

worn the rings and wrist bracelet, necklace as well
ring came off often and left in car while busy it also got forgotten when returned home as didnt always put it back on
as goes for chain i did leave that on most of the time bracelet lost that years ago so never bothered with another one

I saw exactly that happen with a young lad I worked with several years ago. He managed to rip his ring off whilst it was hot, but left the same blister/scorge as in the pic.
I used to wear a ring years ago, but I found occasions where it got caught on various things. Nothing serious luckily, but got me thinking. I wear no jewelry these days.

i dont think ive worn my wedding ring more than about 4 times, one of them being the day i had to wear it.
safety aside whic is the main reason i wouldnt wear one i hate the feel on my finger, i wear no watch or chains or anything else, im au naturale as they say.

Before we were married I made it clear that I would not wear a wedding ring so the exchange of rings was a one way thing, some of the guests did question it at the time.

Never owned one or worn one. Seen a few guys rip thier gloves off sharpish and besides they can damage paintwork on cars and bluing on guns
It used to create issues when I stayed in hotels alone but the most secure marage is a bond of trust not a ring of gold ( I used to think it was guys who instigated affairs) ha!

I wear a watch until I go near welding or machining gear then it comes off...
When married I am still undecided but I found a place that make split rings that are designed to pull off if they snag something that will hurt. Not sure yet

Sensible path-- I dont wear my Wedding ring, I di in the 60s early70s and a piece of wood got wedged between the ring and my finger-- never again, about the same time I was told Fishing industry banned rings on fishermen to stop them getting caught in nets and getting pulled into the sea with the net.

Not just at work either, a guy I worked with swung down out of his loft hatch (young, fit & didn't need steps) and his ring caught on a nail in the hatch surround, did that much damage they had to remove part of his finger

Never wear my wedding ring I keep on my keys, which spend 90% of their time in the van.. When I got the ring I told them I wanted a loose fit so I could take it off, everyone in the shop looked at me in disgust and then looked at the Mrs with puppy dog sympathy..
