Afternoon Gents,
I'm new here & a total mechanical novice, with a rust problem.
I've 'acquired' a 1981 VW T25 that has seen better days.
I'll be straight, it's bloody rusty, in, apparently, all the places a car of it's age usually are.
I've no ability to weld, nor a garage or anything like that.
The car is a family 'heirloom' that my partner & sisters grew up in & i've been tasked with getting it sorted.
We really don't want to sell or scrap her, but if i can't find someone willing to help us out of this rusty situation, it might be the only road to go down.
I have a limited budget, but bags of time & i'm also willing to assist in anyway possible if someone was to help me out.
I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post something like this on this forum, so mods please delete if it's not allowed, but i'm struggling with ideas currently & i'm scouring the internet trying to figure out a way to please the entire family.
I'm happy to pay for new panels where neccessary, but it's the physical welding in of them that's the issue, i also have absolutely no inclination to the cost/time involved in doing such work.
The underside is sound, the roof bracketing needs some work too.
