Just don't be tempted to buy a cheap rubbish welder...I tried that and gave up!.....was 15 years later when I decided to give it another go!...bought a descent one second time around!
If you can already weld I think you can use any machine....if you are a total beginner and you are teaching yourself I'd recommend getting a descent machine.

Yeah I am looking for one, typo!!From my knowledge it's not been for sale, it's got a fairly 'unique' paint job if you want to call it that, as the girls when they were teenagers painted some 'murals' on the side.
I've been checking the for sale sections on gumtree/facebook & Ebay, but nothing has come up locally, or with sellers willing to post.
Somebody in the thread kindly mentioned s Clarke 135TE & they seem to get really good reviews online too.

Snap-on machines are re-badged ceboras (IMO equal to a Clarke )

kemppi minarc all the way for me...it's pre-programmed settings are excellent so all you have to do is select the material (eg steel) and the thickness (eg 1mm) and that's basically it.
Which ever welder you buy I'd make sure the levels are continuously variable....I has a SIP with those stupid power buttons....what a faff.
Kemppi are expensive....but the whole machine is the size of a small bag and very light so easy to move around (which will be handy if you decide to do a driveway resto)
