You're using a momentary switch but holding it down - so essentially latched. That should work I believe, what have you got the ramp down time set to?

I tried the jog function on the one fitted today but it was very slow and it was too bloody windy and cold to stand on the pier trying to read a manual to see where the parameter for that was. I have now found them including the ramps for them so will try tomorrow and see if the weather is decent.

I had the ramp up at 2 seconds and ramp down at 0.2 if I recall.

It looks like it should work as is but obviously it’s not happy with *something 
I’d certainly try to persevere with the jog function as that might give you a better chance as it’s “expecting” a momentary input, it’s exactly the thing jog is used for.

I think it is faulty to be honest as it worked sometimes, did nothing other times and did weird reversals other times.It looks like it should work as is but obviously it’s not happy with *something

Only thing I can think of is the screw for the Gnd connection was stripped so I used the other Gnd connection. I buzzed between the two with a meter and it looked like they were connected but maybe there is something internally that means I can not use that one. It is beside the analogue input so maybe that was causing issues, will see if they are set up or disabled tomorrow.

Mine is an E3 but I think all Inverteks share almost identical manuals and software from what Ive seen.
Id be suprised if its not a standard feature on most vfds.

Thanks, I will check up on the specs, although it is not just the width that is the limiting factor. Once I can measure available space properly I will have a better idea what I have to play with.

That is extremely narrow, quite tall and deep but that may not be such an issue with it being so narrow, I will see.
Just looked in PowerSuite I have, I got it for the Telemechanique Lexium drives I use on the Chiron which are now Schneider, sadly it looks like the ATV320 is not an option
It must be too old a version.

Will have a look. I have the proper connector for the Lexium05 drives, should have the other bits I got in the kit somewhere but where is another question as it was probably 10 years ago I bought the kitSoMove is the new version you should be able to download for free.
I have a usb-485 converter and use a butchered cat 5 cable to connect (I really should get a proper connector one of these days…)

I think I had the same kit in my previous job (we used telemecanique drives/soft starts, before they changed name to Schneider), if I remember it came with a cat 5 type cable and some adaptors to connect to a serial port (I think one was like a 9 pin type connector with only a few pins in and an rj45 socket on the back?)

Yes, sounds like the same kit, previously I used a usb 485 to 232 module from eBay and it worked well but bought the proper kit as I gave the ebay one to a friend to set up his lathe as he had the same drives.
Just got the software downloaded and all registered but my head is nipping so it can wait until another day for investigation
