    My personal favourite loom protection is the PVC split convoluted , its easy to branch/tee off with the smaller legs by drilling a hole in the back and using a different diameter, ends can have shrink sleeve on them to tidy up the cable exit, good for grommets passing through bulkheads and easy to open for additions etc at a later date. Also easy to pclip which holds it shut:thumbup:

    This is the stuff we use at work:

    Externally it goes inside convoluted tube of there is any risk of physical damage, but also generally try to keep runs out of the wettest areas. Tape isn't used to keep water out as it doesn't work. We either use waterproof connectors, or splices covered locally with adhesive lined heatshrink.

    I don't like the split loom, it looks cheap, won't bend nicely around stuff, kinks if you want it to go around a sharper bend, takes up more room than needed for the amount of wires, I think there are better options.
