I worked out the ratio choices for my drop gears, gave 1st gear similar to the Swiftune and mini spares dog box 1st. (At least that's what the theory tells me.) Of course, a 1200cc multivalve motorbike, even a torquey thing like the Vmax goes from walking pace to 150 mph?, so the ratio "spread" is likely to be too wide for a competition mini. (But if there is a gear not to be needed the top one would be my choice because it's weedier)..
I'm on a multi edit as I'm thinking - first gear on mine is part of the shaft, all the others can be made to suit needs, if I ever get that far.
