In a normal drilling solution I've used them, and I think I have a couple of them, but equal sized tapers. For a drill press that would end up with an unfeasibly long distance to to the boring tip, and rigidity would be compromised. It is possible to buy Morse taper extension sockets that will allow you to use, for example a 3MT drill bit in a 2MT drill press. They are quite long, but in a drill press that is not usually a problem.
See, for example, 120-020-00500 at: https://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Extension-Sockets/Morse-Taper-Extension-Sockets . That one is 2MT male to 3MT female. They also do a male 1MT to female 2MT.
You just have to keep your wits about you when buying so you get the correct combination of male and female tapers.
