I thought diameter was normally greater than pitch unless it's a fast/planing boat? It sounds unusual to say the least, and I'm wondering what vessel it was meant for. That equates to 31 1/2" Dia x 35 1/2" pitch. That is a seriously big prop, Its the sort of thing a steam engine might swing. way too good to stick a lightbulb on.
Isn't stainless usually for fresh water and bronze for seawater?Stainless is also unusual as most are obviously bronze.
Exactly that. Stainless isn't the best in sea water. Hence why the 50 year service pipework on naval ships and subs is Monel, CuproNickel or CuNiFe.Isn't stainless usually for fresh water and bronze for seawater?
