You're like a broken record always banging on about D2s.
Op asked a question, I answered it
My D2 cost a smidge under £10k to do 26k miles. Now that is good value

Yep ,,, May well have more than a landrover too , , but I couldnt be sure on that one , Allrods have the same independent suspension set up all round , so no diffs dragging , and same style air bag suspension ride hight set up too , they used to be the only other car that got round land rovers off road demo course too , but I wouldnt swear to that any more , That was all from a few years ago when I was going to buy myself a new one ,, but being the '' no common rail '' stalwart I am , I stuck with my older one in the end.More ground clearance than a range rover?
Nope but I expect only the best levels of confusion and option spinning from you lot so your all on top form I'd say. Id have been worried if I got any less.@Robbie260 Are you any closer to a decision after 7 pages?
Mx5?Nope but I expect only the best levels of confusion and option spinning from you lot so your all on top form I'd say. Id have been worried if I got any less.
Heaven forbid you all agreed on something then I'd have to consider alternative dimensions theory proved.
Too small for me to fit in unfortunately. Though could always pile stuff on the outside.Mx5?
Would a twin wheel transit or the like be of an use?
I have one as well as my disco, had the Spanish under 24 powerlifting champion in the passenger seat he’s 21st 6’5”.Too small for me to fit in unfortunately. Though could always pile stuff on the outside.
Think it may be an option but I'm trying to figure out best policy first, do I let work dictate the vehicle or all my other needs and then get something that fits for some work as well.
Mainly as a vehicle for my time off my main work as I don't need one while I'm away. But I do some work in my time off too to keep me busy so looking for something to cover both functions and a pickup or 4x4 seems the best bet, or I could really concentrate on my business and buy some sort of van or dedicated vehicle for it like what James suggested.I have one as well as my disco, had the Spanish under 24 powerlifting champion in the passenger seat he’s 21st 6’5”.
We went to lyden hill from Bedford and he got out with no aches or pain just a tight squeeze getting out
What are you after most, a work vehicle or for yourself?
The pick up will lend itself better to being customised
Maybe as @8ob said a 4x4 single cab and remove the rear tub for your own design
Make your very own super van and sling a V8 crate motor into one.Iv been tempted by a transit twin wheel pick up for moving motorbikes, cycles and sticking a camper box on the rear for racing
Only thing is I don’t like diesels, have been tempted by a mondeo v6 and lpg

That’s the limiting factor or I’d have a 1000bhp as my daily runner
An lpg v6 is doable as a daily/weekend motor, transits are fetching daft money for a tipper/recovery/chassis cab
same time ,,, what could you find to replace it ,,, and so the circle of strife goes round againTbh pickups are exactly the same. I can't understand why people are buying some of the trucks Ive seen listed.
They are money pits selling for top dollar
In my mind my 03 ranger is worth about £800 but I know I could sell it for the best part of three grand if I wanted to. There is no way it has three grands worth of work left in it.
To behonest I totally agree with you in that a £800 vehicle before the pandemic now seems to be worth nearly £3000.Tbh pickups are exactly the same. I can't understand why people are buying some of the trucks Ive seen listed.

Whilst I love them you have to plan a trip in advance as they are soooo sloooowwell surprised no ones mentioned them ,, so I thought best I post the white elephant in the room , or parked outside ,,,
Buying others problems as my dad always sayssame time ,,, what could you find to replace it ,,, and so the circle of strife goes round again
