I'm sure I can always sharpen my pencil.Discount for forum members?
A "proper" one used to be a lot more than 400 quid! Are the generic Chinese ones on eBay any good or reliable? I know you generally get what you pay for but as a diyer £80 for a 6l jobbie that gets used twice a year is much more doable than £400 for a 'proper' one. Less so if they're not that reliable though!
The Bransonic I bought 20yrs ago secondhand was 200quidA "proper" one used to be a lot more than 400 quid!
Probably £600 now and with the covid added tax that is now added to anything second hand a grand at least! The Bransonic I bought 20yrs ago secondhand was 200quid

Hi Brad. James Products Ltd AKA JPL, have stopped supplying ultrasonic cleaners completely. They were made in China and badged under their own name.I need an ultrasonic. I was looking at one the other week, proper it was. Can’t remember the make now. James something perhaps.
I do a lot of machine repairs, well all sorts of equipment but often intricate parts with old dried grime and grease. I currently use lots and lots of brake cleaner and numerous brushes, tonnes of blue towel.Hi Brad. James Products Ltd AKA JPL, have stopped supplying ultrasonic cleaners completely. Here's a link to my blog about ultrasonic cleaners, it might help. What do you want to use the machine for?
From my experience, I think you would be better off with a hot tank.I do a lot of machine repairs, well all sorts of equipment but often intricate parts with old dried grime and grease. I currently use lots and lots of brake cleaner and numerous brushes, tonnes of blue towel.
Yesterday I was stripping some welding equipment which is all gears and rollers with grease and grit. WD40 done the job but was really slow and still not completely clean.
Like a hot wash? From my experience, I think you would be better off with a hot tank.
Sorry I thought you were cleaning big lumps. Just bear in mind the basket takes alot of room in the tank. Mine must hold 2.5gal, yet I cant do a medium carb without turning it.Like a hot wash?
I was after something small really
It's not the size given to the tank that's important (e.g. 3 ltr, 6 ltr etc.), its the physical dimensions of the largest thing you want to clean that really counts. Sometimes this can be a "best guess" because you don't always know what might come along in the future.Sorry I thought you were cleaning big lumps.
