In a 100mm concrete slab on Polypipe trays, A142 mesh over this.
I've also run a spare length of Pex-Al-Pex into the slab to put a sensor in if I need to.
Its in screed so ideally it would want to be on its own heating zone as thick screed works best on a setback heating arrangement but the arrangement above would work hydraulically. Its how you control it that might be a bit odd. Whats the area roughly with UFH and what finish is going on it? tiles?

Based on some guestimates:
Hopefully the above is readable but I recon you are looking at a flow temp of something like 46 deg C, returning at about 40 from the UFH loop
flowrate is 1.96l/min at 46 deg plus whatever the towel rail needs which will be very little as the output will be low - Ive assumed about 100w so total flow about 2 litres a min at 46 deg C
if you work it out based on that you would need about 0.3 litres a min from the single pipe system at 80 deg C and the 1.7 litres a min would be return water from the loop.
0.3 litres a min is virtually nothing and will have virtually no effect hydraulically on your 22mm 1 pipe cct.
Its how you control it that may be the biggest issue. you would need the UFH pump to come on when the 22mm single pipe cct was running so it woud need something like a pipe stat to initiate the pump and then a room stat to stop it. You may find its a bit sluggish as there may be times that the UFH could do with being on but the single pipe cct is off.

I'm thinking my planned UFH manifold should have it's own dedicated flow pipe? I'm thinking maybe add a 3rd 2-port valve?
Then for the return from the UFH manifold either tap into the upstairs rads return (as that's a proper flow/return setup) or take a pipe as close as I can to the boiler return. If I take the UFH return into the downstairs single pipe I'll affect the rads downstream. I think...

Next house this is route to take, or build a workshop first and use that.
You would be better to take separate flow and also try to get return back as near boiler as possible as the ufh is better as a separate cct especially if screeded as it reacts slower. Ufh controller will normally have 240v contacts to open. Zone valve and start pump. Will also have a set of volt free contacts to enable the boiler.

Best make sure you have the space for both, as once your workshop isfull of all your worldly goods, you then live in the caravan
