When you get the hang of it try a left hand drill.
Try carving chisels.
I want one of theseView attachment 227369 View attachment 227370 Here’s a few of my L/H bits,I bought them because my big machine is worn and noisy in FWD ,quiet as a mouse in REV,got them via a recommendation from TRACY TOOLS ,mainly use them on stainless as the durations longer.
Do you need a left hand grinder?
Then try turning chisels
Try carbideThen internal scribing chisels
I think that might be possible using some sort of gyroscope stabilization deviceOK... try sharpening a bandsaw blade using a 9" angle grinder with a masonry disc, wearing a no.15 welding shade and boxing gloves, on a foggy day, while bouncing on a Spacehopper, on top of a waterbed, on a trampoline
I didn't say I could do it
The biggest reason people cannot sharpen drills is the most overlooked one. Anybody can sharpen a drill. Nobody can sharpen a drill on a wheel that is shagged. Forget the jigs and the gimmicks. Get yourself a decent wheel dresser and it’s so much easier on a square and unclogged / unglazed wheel....
