Turbo to down pipe bolts MIA

My mot man pulled me up on missing turbo to down pipe bolts this week.
So I replaced them with some standard M8's the gasket is also missing but I will order one of those.
I was told the standard M8 bolts will work loose again and I was told to get these bolts but they are a bit spendy to me.
Any other bolts I can use? Or nordlock washers perhaps

I could use stainless

Pretty sure standard practice is to use flanges copper nuts.
Another option would be to use aerotight nuts, but check the temperature range it might be too hot for them

You could put studs in and use brass nuts

You use something like penny washers cut to make tab washers, with one edge turned down over the edge of the manifold, and the other side knocked up to lock the hex bolt head in place. Sort of like this:

My son's turbo MX5 kept dropping the turbo bolts so I did a fair bit of research on it and ended up using normal M8 8.8 bolts with Nord Lock type washers. Works like a charm 245 BHP and no loose bolts There are cheaper versions of Nord Lock that do the job just as well just remember to do them up tight.

Turbo bolts I see on trucks tend to be flanged 10.9s.

Turbo studs and nuts are generally copper coated, the threads are tapered on the studs, they never work loose.

I'd reject that based simply on the "Stage 8" label. Stage 8 bolts that "ensure peak performance"- honestly who falls for that crap?
