Well if you want to avoid chatter and bounce, avoid the milwaukee angled die grinder. What is the makita like to use?
What I use it for needs accurate placement and minimum bearing runout to stop chatter and bounce. the weight and ergonomics are important for its accurate use. Its on hardened tool steel which is carefully shaved away so i was put off by the 1.6kg of the makita. it does not need to do heavy work under a lot of load, more precision. Which seems like an oxymoron when you say die grinder and precision!
I have an M12 die grinder and full roloc disc kit etc too. It's great for what it is.
However, in terms of raw spindle speed and power my Air die grinder is better. So if I was to grind out a load of spot welds I'll reach for the air grinder every time.
So your experience with a battery one will depend on what your planned works are.
Most of my air tools are Shinano, any that aren't I replace with Shinano when they die.Ill look it up, thankyou,
Anyone had any experience of shinano pneumatics?
I have looked at their range online today and sent an email to see if there is a uk dealer.

Kemet are not far away and I have dealt with them for diamond lapping compound. I think they are worth a call or email, see what they stockEmax Evolution Grinder & Polisher - Kemet

Unfortunately the model number in the post seems to be the ⅜" ratchet. Thanks for the info on shinano. Unfortunately they have yetto reply. Most of my air tools are Shinano, any that aren't I replace with Shinano when they die.
I think they are great, often only twice the price of the cheap tools but more than twice the quality. Most tool stores here in Australia at least stock some Shinano products which shows something.
This is a Shinano die grinder rebranded as Endeavour. Endeavour E1108 - Shinano SI-1108B

The type of job it is used for i would use the straight version but i will take not on the chattery angled head.Well if you want to avoid chatter and bounce, avoid the milwaukee angled die grinder.

I have tried to contact Shinano using their web form twice. One time I got a response the other I didn't. The time I got a response they couldn't answer my odd question so directed me to the distributor.
your best option is probably to contact the UK distributor who is listed as:

They say they OEM to many brands, I have never seen a list but in a photo they once posted there were boxes labelled Either Atlas Copco or CP (I can't remember which one).
Adam Demuth showed one off in a video too, really nice tool. I'll get one one day...Emax Evolution Grinder & Polisher - Kemet
