As MTT.TR said above, the correct stuff is Polyurethane PU. There are two main types out there, one is for windscreens which is very dense and uses a black primer in a little aluminium bottle first with a cotton wool Ball type Applicator then there is the more common PU sealer which is more like a silicone viscosity and a body bonder. Don’t use the last one unless your stuck as it’s too runny

I’ve just replaced two broken windows in my Ford 4600 tractor with 6 mm polycarbonate sheet (it has a hedge flail permanently mounted) and was advised to use ‘Dow Corning 799’

original glass windows sat in a rubber moulding which I removed and bonded the polycarbonate directly to the cleaned metal.

you need to be VERY careful what you use to glue polycarbonate..it is very tough stuff but certain solvents make it crack very easily..Wipe it with isopropyl alcohol IPA for instance and it will craze almost immediately

Thanks for that snippet of info, I was about to bond some polycarbonate into fibreglass recesses on a small boat

If using correct Pu bonder then don’t clean up with thinners as it breaks down too much and destroys the sealer. Alternatively use panel wipe or ‘tardis’ as they go with the flow and doesn’t breakdown the parent sealer. You could even use wd40 as a cleaner in this case.

Beware of using 'panel wipe' on polycarbonate. Most are based on IPA - see my posting #22 above !!!!!!
