I've recently being watching a few vids from Mustie1 on Youtube and spotted a useful looking tool

A lot of searching using various descriptions eventually came up with this as part of a set for about £9 so they're going to be Chinesium

I then tried "hose pliers" as a search term, but still not much luck.

Does anyone know the correct name to search or a link to a branded make please.

Knipex and Snap On make them. They’re great tools for that odd situation. Probably use mine once every two years haha.

Knipex do them, can't seem to find an extra long version though. I've got the extra long non-hose-gripping version, they're excellent, use them all the time.

I think we have some cheap chinese ones, can't fault them for the occasional time we need them

I think they’re actually spark plug (cap?) pliers if that helps with the search. As per the others, Knipex are nice!

At my mates garage I’ve used what I think are gas fitters pliers (old Elliot Lucas ones) on hose clamps among other things - there a plenty on eBay.

they are but Mac has a lifetime warranty and the equivalent at snapon is probably £90 per pliers

This is the best branded ones I can find online

the knipex ones Iv found are only available in 8” and from the states so far
Iv found Mac do them in the same size but no price on there site
