Tool donations.

A bit the same here I've got quite a few tools I neither use or need , thought about posting on here but the selling individual items and postage doesn't work .
Also quite a bit of hardware / ironmongery stuff too when I posted that the mods deemed it not really applicable to welding forum . I just hate throwing good stuff .
It would seem even giving stuff away is a pain.

I had a load of very nice condition, British made wood planes that I was given a few years back and were well beyond my skill set for wood so I gave them to a mate's son who was an apprentice carpenter. Subsequently found out that he had flogged the lot on evil-bay! Haven't spoken to ever of them since. I did look at donating them to a charity to send abroad but found so many stories of the 'cream' being syphoned-off before they had left the country that I didn't bother. Still got a lot of tools to get rid of but not a MIS round here.

Me too, I have recently rescued a load of spanners etc. hand tools from a Men's Shed who were going to bin them. This particular men's shed only does woodwork but has received donations of spanners etc. I already have a set of tools in each garage workshop here and a tool kit in each classic/vintage car. This stuff is taking up space here and ATM I am at a bit of a loss trying to find a good home for them.

This will be what happens with some of my old spanners. I think they will make perfect chameleon hands!

any of your friends have kids / aprentices etc that might be interested, I would always have appreciated that as a youngster, but times have maybe changed...
