I don't have a welder yet and I can't afford to go to a shop.
If Bondo dries for about 12-24 hours, will it still let water in? I patched up a much smaller hole and didn't cover it up. I think it rained either 12 or 24 hours later. If water is in, how can I tell and what should I do?

If I get the car paint, is the Bondo filler screw me over?
These are just aluminum sheets we fitted inside. I'm worried that this is too much body filler.
If not, are these the next steps (?):
1) Sand the Body Filler
2) Put on some soft putty so fill the the tiny air holes
3) Wet sand the Bondo and the rest of the paint
4) Primer
5) Wet Sand the Primer
