Of your money? Yes.So is it worth £1300 ???
Of your money? Yes.
Obviously I've not seen it up close, so can't give an opinion on the condition of the slideways etc, but from what I can see of it there looks to be no oopsie marks on the table, it looks clean and judging by the toys in the background I can't imagine it's been thrashed machining exotic materials. The big question is do you feel it's worth £1300? Does it come with lots of nice bonus tooling such as a dividing head etc?
It's a good solid old knee-and-column mill. If you're happy with the condition of it then it looks like a lot of machine for the money, when you compare it to the new far Eastern offerings on ebay. Still try and haggle something off it though...just because!
Have you bought it yet!
Buy it.
Just do it! Keep us updated with what he throws in with it.
Grab the lot. Sort it out later!good as mine
ill update yup
What should i see he has for it and try and get with it if i can ? as in whats worth getting.
If I had the space, I would have bought one. It's a late Light Vertical @Rannsachair has one although without the table feed motor system. Certainly worth £1300 of my money and I'm tight
Coolant tank can be a bit of a PITA as they are below the column in the top of the base and a pain to clean out.
If you need a manual for the head let me know or join the FB TS group, I copied mine and posted it on there.
I have big fancy mega accurate machines, a angle plate weighing many times more than the Tom senior
I’d love to get my hands on a Tom senior, made with the same care as a full size toolroom machine , a machine I’ve always lusted for since a school boy
