Don’t Xtreme offer Thermacut machines too?Yep I’d have the Xtreme but I don’t like R-Tech so that’s why we went with the Swifty.
Wouldn’t touch their pro machines based on the build quality of this
Just to add. I think the Swiftcut has things more integrated and communicates to the Hypetherm such things as current etc which is meant to make things more seamless and "idiot proof".
I think the Xtreme will be more hands on in the respect that you have to set your own voltages/currents etc but personally I would prefer the latter.
I may be wrong on both of the above however as I have no experience of either tables.
If I understand correctly the Swiftcut communicates directly to the Hypertherm and sets the current and auto sets the voltage for the THC. Not sure what THC it uses, it may actually be a software THC.
I was too busy listening to the colourful language to be looking at the screenIf you look at Brads last video about the licence issue the message box bottom right says HiCON which is an all in one plasma controller from Vital systems which includes THC and will do the serial communications to the hypertherm to set current, pressure, etc and read back faults like the 0-22-0 no gas input.
I certainly wouldn't be using USB Ethernet for a control if I had a choice.Regarding the PCID issue, am I correct in thinking you're using a USB ethernet adapter?
IIRC Mach4 uses the ethernet ports as part of the algorithm to generate the PCID, so the PCID probably depends on when the ethernet adapter is plugged in. Generally ethernet ports are a permanent thing, so the fact you're using a USB adapter puts you in the minority, and why there isn't much about the problem online.
Nope no bloody Ethernet port on this Laptop. Wasn’t on the list of requirements from SwiftCut so didn’t know we needed one.I certainly wouldn't be using USB Ethernet for a control if I had a choice.
Why are you using that @Brad93 ? Does your PC not have an ethernet port?

Didn't even know you got laptops without ethernet ports.Nope no bloody Ethernet port on this Laptop. Wasn’t on the list of requirements from SwiftCut so didn’t know we needed one.
