Someone that I know in Belfast had the works Honda 125 5 cylinder machine to spanner on , as his cousin was Ralph Bryans.
Honda were Most Insistent that all joint lines were to be painted over with epoxy resin, as they wouldn't tolerate any engine besmirchment whatsoever.
His opinion was that there wasn't anything about it that the British couldn't have done, it's just that they didn't , mainly for financial reasons.

Japanese had to break in, prove them selves and are culturally very driven…live to work. On the other hand burry the head in the sand management style, lack of investment in new designs and equipment, unions, they were doomed.

Actually yesterday, but i offer doo-dad, son of doo-dad!

It actually just a practice piece, a prop for resting my wrist if needed, however it encompases autogenous (outside corners) fillets, caps with filler, bott joints on the 45's and most importantly its level, 0 degree bubble bang on level which was another goal.

You could probably sell it for a small fortune as a bespoke 'industrial chique' towel rail in one of those fancy bathroom shops.
