Got a service bulletin here, regarding float heights and fuel levels, but can't be bothered to read it right now.....
Oh, all right then.....
With the float needle engaging tabs depressed with a screwdriver, not the needle, the measurement of the float top to the top edge of the float bowl should be 0.080"....

Another trike job just came in for various bits and bobs plus "it feels funny, see what you think." 
Bought sight unseen from Scotland, been sitting in his garage since November.
Well the first thing I thought was "It seems to be listing to port.". 30 seconds with a tape measure and the axle isn't central, it's an inch over to the left as you sit on it, and something's twisted as the swing arm pivot is an inch higher on the right than it is on the left. I don't think he's going to be getting any good news when I've had a good look round it.

From what I can see so far it's just a s**t build by an imbecile with no clue.Sounds like it's hit a kerb on the right side and all the extra leverage has bent the frame
For example; yes that is just a bent piece of strap with a bolt through it for a gear selector. Done so that it's where your foot goes due to the big chunk of box section that's bolted to the swing arm.

Anyone around in the 80s and built/raced Tamiya Grasshoppers and Hornets will understand the limitations of the setup.

These days of course, it's dead easy with computers. But with a drawing board, drawings on film, creating and assembly drawing section as above was simply a case of putting your component drawing under the assembly sheet and tracing.
Any decent engineering company would have apprentice draughtsmen (not flippin' "draftsmen" as people seem to think - entirely different task) practicing letter, numbers, arrowheads - balloons would probably be by a stencil.
Being a left hander, my manual drawings were never exactly top-drawer . . .
