Cool. I'm seriously considering the transition to slip on Skechers.Ordered today. I put this on the old codgers thread, but it fits here too. The time has arrived…

There's a cranked arm as well.Apparently, there are a couple of other arms available for them. 6mm & 13mm, I think.
These vacuum sealed jars can be problematic if your hands aren't strong.. a cheap solution is pour hot water on a dishcloth etc. let the majority run off then pop the hot cloth on top of the jar/bottle lid /cap the heat starts to reduce the vacuum and expands the metal /plastic lid as the lid heats up , usually makes undoing a super tight jar lid etc, become very easy .Me too! I was defeated by a jar of pickled Gherkins, for the first time ever. I ordered a nasty stainless steel jobby with teeth, as a filler to an AliExpress order. As you grip the lid, the teeth crush it tighter.![]()
I made a screw top with seal swimming pool conditioner tub into a water bath for my the double bladed wall cutter / chaser a simple tub with an in going down to below a water line and the vacuum ( wet 7 dry set up for wet ) sucking out the top of the tub lid . sealed i the kitchen waste pipes with " Sticks like ) added several metres of ribbed smooth bore pond filter pipe so I could do cuts within 7 metres of the tub , using a 20 yr old Hoover Aquavac . In side the tub inht elid I pushed a rolled up green Scotch Brite pad and secured it with a cable to to help condense any air born spray from the bubbles in the water .Any time I've used one it's filled the room with a fog of dust.
I've found that brick saws produce a lot less dust....but they're expensive and they won't touch anything hard like engineering bricks for example.
We picked one of those up last year, brilliant tool when you need it, sometimes the mayo jar is just a bit too tight.Ordered today. I put this on the old codgers thread, but it fits here too. The time has arrived…

I clamp the lid in the vice, nip it up in a couple of positions & you hear it creak, then it comes off okI might get one just to get the cap off my Hydrate 80 bottle. If you forget to wipe the inside clean it sets rock hard.
A wall chaser on ebay good used. Anyone heard of Sparky brand before? It was well priced and made in EU so thought it was worth a try VS the China screwfix jobbies for over twice the £

No blades with it so I ordered a pair of new diamond wheels from amazon for it. I have some wall chasing to do in my garage's render walls. This will provide a more consistent cut + depth and less dust using a vacuum attachment VS freehand with an angle grinder.
I bought some of these last year. Fairly good with a good grip at the tip and a solid shaft to the strike plate on the butt for those rusted up screw heads.Screwdrivers that you can hit with a hammer...I feel like these will suit my way of working quite well!!
Ordered...and arrived same day!

I got fed up of using the cheap rubbish screwdrivers that I own in abundance!
