A new welding helmet.
It's that time of year where some profits need to be spent, so it was either a new welder (which isn't really needed), or a new helmet (the old Optrel has been getting a bit temperamental and I can't be bothered butchering it to change the batteries), so a shiny new Optel Helix Quattro has been ordered, complete with the Pure Air PAPR.

I won this m18 fuel grinder on ebay this evening. The 2x 5.0 genuine batteries are said to be working. I'd say the grinder needs bearings at a guess I have fixed mine before easy enough. This will be my 3rd M18 fuel grinder. Best grinders out there bar none IMO and I've had a few.

One of these. Definitely don't need it, but I wanted one for quite a while and the current discount and price from an Ebay seller convinced me. It's just the bare tool. For the occasional job it will be worthwhile and total overkill for the remaining 95%.

i do. the 1001 (3/4 version of the 1002) undoes every nut and bolt on it except the hub nuts (torqued to something like 2000ft/lb)
id still like the xgt one.

I REALLY need to stop buying tools for a while. But for a cill repair I really need a metal roller. This Vevor one was the best value. + 5% discount code off it meant £129 shipped.
18 inch throat is decent too. With this and my metal shrinker stretcher I'll be able to make replacement cill ends in the correct factory shape with some practice using hot dip galv sheetmetal.

^ I'd have thought a slip roller would have been more use for making a sill, rather than a bead roller. But then, I don't know what shape your sill is. That's not a bad price for a bead roller, though.
I could make use of a slip roller, but it needs to be able to do just under a metre of 1.2mm mild steel, and a lot of the lower-end ones are limited to about 750mm, though I haven't looked for ages. I don't want to spend much, because one of the panel companies have said they're going to start making sills, and when they do, I'll stop selling mine as theirs will be a better shape - mine are a bit "50p" at the moment as I struggle to get smooth curves. Fine when covered in stonechip, though.

I've got one of that exact bead roller, they are much better with some modifications out the box as the dies/gears are only allen screwed to the shafts and not into flats or features, just onto the round shaft so slip when you start to do thicker stuff or just when they feel like it really.
On mine the clearance fit on the shaft to the frame (theres no bushes there) was bad too, so I made some bronze bushes up and I machined the bit where the dies go on too as they weren't concentric to the shafts and sleeved them back to original size too.
If you have a lathe, its easy to make up new dies to tip and other useful things.
I've since motorized mine with a foot pedal connected to the electronics/motor out of a exercise wobble board which makes it a 1 person job to use and gives you more control rather than 2.
For the money, its a great starting point for a decent tool.
