Unfortunately it's seems like normally the controller, and normally uneconomical to repair..£50 was cheap so hopefully I can figure out what's wrong with it and repair it myself

I wonder if you could swap a fakita brushless controller which I think are available not too expensive.Unfortunately it's seems like normally the controller, and normally uneconomical to repair..

Problem is that Makita and Milwaukee components are completely different in first place.I wonder if you could swap a fakita brushless controller which I think are available not too expensive.
Here's why their cordless tools are not worth to repair
If its a brushless motor then the controller decides how hard to drive it, so yes a clone controller could likely work but it may not be as powerfull.Problem is that Makita and Milwaukee components are completely different in first place.
Clones usually don't have the current requirements to run OEM motors.
I have been looking at those for a long time, was tempted by the Drill Doctor until work bought one and it grinds lovely uneven cutting edges. I'm very interested to see how you get on with it Matt.Front loaded up with the collets.

There's a spare space on both the 20 & 25 rack, but there was also a 14mm & 15mm ER20 included in the box, (they overlap with the 25's), so I popped the ER20 14mm in the spare hole, just to fill it.
If it works as well as it looks, I'll be a happy bunny.![]()
Let us know how you get on. Mini review if you can. I've often seen those and wondered what kind of stuff they'd be up to doing.
