It is a Weirhauch HW100 .177 indeed. Lovely piece of kit. I'd have liked to buy it with open sights then upgrade to a scope later on, however there's no iron sights as standard as it's assumed 99% of shooters will want a scope on a rifle like that. But I can see this being a hobby that sucks you in and I suspect one rifle will become two before long...

So maybe I'll get a basic springer next for getting my eye in on open sights.

went to boot sale it was massive 99 percent tat picked up a pot of belzona and hardener for 4 quid. about 40 quid to buy a nice steel 6 inch rule a quid and that was it

I know I brought a pair of slip jaws from the guy.

Part 3.
Vark still board and this village show, but felling pleased with my self on my bargains. My friend is busy doing his thing. No idea what he was doing.
I saw this, it is a 1950 slide projector with spare bulbs, all fully working.
Even the PAT sticker showed it to be in date.
Asked the store holder about it, was told it was in a box stage lighting filters she had brought on the Flea bay and was interested in it.

Oh yes for the sale she though in some wick fed insect repelling candle things and a 1/ bottle off citronella oil.

Total cost £5.00.


Now why is Vark in trouble?

Mrs Vark told Vark not to bring back any rubbish, or spend to much money.

I also won on the Flea bay a Mamod Steam engine and a ox o Scalextric track.
I am away to collect them after 5pm.

I have one similar take the 2 allen screws out of the bottom of handle and it will expose the trigger valve give it a clean and spray with wd40 and it should free off

It did I had to push the roll pin out to release the trigger so I could give the valve a good clean but I now have a working windy gun

Just collected these
. I won them on a Flea bay.
I was the only bidder.

No box or anything, just that. There is some fuel tablets, so Guess what I will be doing latter?

Plus 2 box's of Scalextric track. It is very ropey and rusted. Some jem's in there.
At least 2 of the lap counter, chicanes, 3 controllers and at least a 1970 power pack. But it will wait until I have sorted my other stuff today.

I am now a Happy Vark.

Picked up this 1977 Dolmar 152 (100cc) Monster with 36" bar yesterday - fitted a new plug, cleaned the carburettor and filters and it now starts first pull and runs like new. It makes the 16" 50cc Stihl 028 Super in the foreground sound, feel and perform like a fisher price toy and that's with a dull chain (I'm not looking forward to sharpening 100+ teeth).

I got a little Sachs dolmar off roofman this weekend, yet to use it in anger tho. Was hoping to have a play before when I saw the neighbour trying to saw through a fir in his garden with a hand saw, but he declined the offer of a proper machine

Edit: it's a dolmar 110, little 43cc saw. Handy little trimming saw, better than throwing the Stihl or danarm about trimming branches

I think Lidl have the chain grinders in this week, I have one I use for knackered chains and it works really well.

I was thinking about getting one of them just for the job. It might have to wait until Aldi have them in though (if they ever do) as it's a fair trek to the nearest Lidl.

A gun is a gun, usually used for the shooting of targets or pests.
A weapon is entirely different, it's for hurting people or making people afraid that they're going to be hurt.
All shooters should understand the difference and use the correct terminology as a rule. It may seem to be mere semantics to some but it can affect how people view firearms.
Sadly our wonderful police aren't capable of understanding the difference.

your lovely dolmar is an old school saw, no chain brake and no AV mounts, great as an orniment, or on a milling setup, but forget using it for any tree cutting, 10 mins and your fingers will start to loose there feeling plus you wont be allowed to use it in any commercial activity, it doesnt comply with PUWER requirments, enjoy it

I like a heavier rifle

I had a Sterling HR81, if you want heavy try one of those. It must have been designed by the guy who did the Lee-Enfield .303 - certainly the stock was so long if you were under 7 foot 12 it was a bit of a stretch from the shoulder.

Hardly.

It's an argument I constantly had with my firearms manager. He would insist I dealt with "weapons" and I would nicely explain that everything sold to the civvy world were nothing of the sort - all sporting firearms.
