the best deal i got was from an autojumble a massive box of washers .i asked the guy how much and he said 50 pence a handfull :laughing:

i took a large scoopfull and gently lifted them in to the bag :whistle:

me bruv asked me to get his as well another 3 guys said get me some will u your hands are like shovels

after 4 lots the seller told me to b....gger off. i was cleaning him out :ashamed:

slightly off topic, but one of these days I will acquire a refund on the cost of the exhaust I bought for my car in 1998.... I paid an additional £25 for it all those years ago, I need to get my moneys worth out of it

Im sitting here thinking about all the finds im missing out on, having not gone to the boot sale!

Its been a busy week, and ive got another wall to plaster today, hence no boot sale trip. But i feel withdrawal all the same!

If you keep your eye on Ebay, you should be able to drop on a set quite decently priced at some point, if Bigegg doesn't have another set. A few companies did a workshop series range. Caxton was one, Odhams another, so there are a few sets to keep an eye out for. They're all quite similar, but they all have different, various nuggets in them.

I have a book I found in an old factory in Brentford, called ICS instruction papers volume 4, its very similar, old line drawings, calculating gears, erecting steam engines, bench work, lovely old book. The maths in it makes my pea brain boggle.

yea its a bummer when u think of all the scoops u might have missed by not going best day i had once was 2 ladies selling tools and engineeing gear real cheap

i scored loads . i asked her if she was splitting up from her hubby and selling his gear. 2 rite she said, il teach him for playing away :whistle:

i better keep my shed locked up :vsad:

yep ratchet and pawl, as you pull the lever it indexes and pulls the sheet through as it cuts.

Overwhelmed by the fortune encountered by forumites.
My modest effort: Mate has a Scimitar GTE in bits with a rusted chassis. Plus a few bits of kit in the shed.. I suggested I welded up the the duff bits of the chassis in exchange for a spare mint Meddings DrillTru Pillar drill. Don't worry about the welding, he says, just come round and pick up the drill. Which I did.
