I thought N.l. counted as UK for postage purposes?
when I used to send stuff to relly's in Eire on the other hand, postage cost about 3 times as much.

You have to fill out a customs form for Northern Ireland post now, but yes its the same price as the rest of the UK via Royal Mail. EU making life difficult again (Windsor agreement)

Helping my neighbour load some stuff into his car for a tip run and he asked me if I wanted anything from a box he inherited from his FIL who used to build dolls houses so I came away with these.

We were trying to cleaning it years ago but we never managed to complete.
It's clogged unfortunately.
Since many years, the old owner throw everything in it to fill it up, we already removed a bunch of things, but the rooftop is instable we need to fix that before going down there again

Some sort of fly press, asked to a friend and he said he used to use one when he was a child because his aunt was a seamstress.
He said this was used for automatic buttons.
Might be useful in the shop or maybe not

Got these Jahrl Quick Change Chucks and inserts a while ago, but only just cleaned them up.

One of the chucks are MT2 and the other is MT3. Both have been fitted with a MT4 sleeves so I can use them on my lathe.

I have 3 x MT1 inserts, 7 x MT2 inserts and 1 x MT3 insert.

I found a brochure of slightly newer Jharlchucks and inserts that explain how they operate.

I am not yet sure how useful they will be on the lathe. I guess you could change drill bits over quickly if you are pilot drilling and increasing the size of the hole with a new drill bit/s

Commercially 3d printed in nylon replacement tumbler gears for the raglan, only £20 delivered so worth a shot as not interested in paying £140 for a pair in cast iron just yet!

Amongst the bits that came with the lathe was a bunch of reamers and one happened to be the exact size for the tumbler gear shafts so cleaned it up nicely

Nice set of Opinel knives, they all need a good clean and oil but I think they have been just badly damp stored as apart from the No6 the edges look unused & super sharp. Think I'll give the box a bit of love as well

Gave the box a bit of a biffing and it's come up good with some Danish oil.
The guy I bought the set from said he didn't have the No6 but dropped one in there when he posted it.

The No6 was pretty heavily pitted and the point is broken off and its not from the same set as it does not have the Virobloc locking that a No6 should have for this set, no complaints as the set was very cheap and he did say it was missing anyway. Still it sharpened great and I will address the point.

Soooo I had to order another No6 for the sake of the OCD, warned bladed article and needed to be signed for - my Postie stuck it through the letter box being the champ he is



The place I ordered the number 6 from annoyingly had the set in SS as well as Carbon, so I might be back for a new SS set when funds allow, but must say the carbon ones sharpen up something wicked

A nice chunk of o1 tool steel to hopefully replace the missing half of the tapered ring which is what holds the compound from rotating on the raglan. First time playing with tool steel so will see how it goes!
