The carbide inserts look to be used. They're worth £6 a kilo scrap.

Yeah i had a quick look and most are used but quite a few are ok

If you've got silver solder and a diamond wheel, those old plain inserts are quite handy for custom tooling.

How much were the battery and charger to go with it?

Not bought any kit for a while, much as I would like a Quantum micrometer, I could not justify the cost, so picked up a second hand Tessa 0-30mm for £50. It seems pretty good and checked with a slip gauge ok.

I didn't get batteries or charger, so I didn't notice. I already have some of their 12V batteries, hence why I didn't look.

Found these in a garage im clearing for a friend she just said take them as niether of her sons want to help




there are literally 100s of these too but cant find anything they fit in not idea why he had them, just random piles of them all over

Not today, but I had a good look over it and tried it out. The grinder I got from scruffywelder on here recently. It takes over 3 minutes from switching off to stopping spinning.
